    Our  puppies are from proven National and International Champion Pedigrees, with BOB, BIS, BISS, titled lineage all started on a firm foundation of love and dedication not to just to our own dogs, but to the breed and its  future. Our sincere Thanks and admiration go to all of the dedicated breeders before us,  and those breeders whose lines are our foundation, and we  carry into the future. If it were not for their dedication, and love for such a unique and unusual breed, it and it's unusual, and extraordinary characteristics the breed would have been lost long ago.

    Here at Kyrie Achates Pekingese we breed for temperament, integrity, personality, and sound conformation adhering to the AKC standard as those before us have done, and as those who follow will do, we hope.  So whether you are wishing to enter the show arena, or want a faithful companion of quality, distinction, and health, we will do our very best to provide it for you. We raise all of our Pekingese puppies in our home and in our family where they are socialized everyday.  When we say socialization we don't mean we play the radio for them occasionally, and feed them twice a day.  We mean they are a part of our family from the day they are born until they arrive at your home ready to love you unconditionally.  They are played with, chased, rubbed, rolled, tickled, talked to, and taught to enjoy others and themselves. Just take a look at our puppy page and see who looks like they are not having fun.

We offer both a health and hereditary genetic guarantees for our puppies and can provide references from and for our committed and discerning buyers. 

    We urge everyone looking and inquiring about our puppies to research the breed they are looking at and know that breed, their good and bad points (because all breeds have them and anyone that tells you otherwise is being less than honest with you), and the cost associated in purchasing and maintaining that pet for its lifetime, which in toy breeds can be for up to 12 - 15 years.  Please go to the AKC (American Kennel Club) site to learn more about the breed you are looking at, their hereditary and health problems, their AKC Standard and the AKC Club and their high standards.  If at all possible attend a show in your area and look at the breed you are considering and talk with other owners, breeders, and handlers about that breed.

    We here at Kyrie Achates Pekingese offer to all of our puppies or dogs a lifetime commitment.  We are here for consultation regarding that dog or puppy and will, to the best of our abilities, assist in finding or providing a new home for that puppy or adult in the event a tragedy occurs and you can no longer provide for it.

    All of our adults and puppies are a part of our family and we expect them to be a part of their new family as well, whether as a show dog or a family companion.  They are loved and socialized with children, adults, the elderly, goats, other dogs, cats, cows, horses, other pets, and animals on our farm, in our home, and in our community.  They are allowed plenty of exercise and playtime in our pastures, yard, and orchard where they enjoy the fresh air, sunshine, and grass under their tiny paws.

    Our dogs are all on a progressive, vaccine regiment recommended by our veterinarians and are diligently maintained and evaluated.  Although no animal can be completely and totally parasite free, all of our adults are on Heartworm Preventive such as Heartguard or Interceptor, and puppies are routinely de-wormed with Strongid T starting at 2 - 3 weeks of age and every 2 weeks there after and until they are placed in their new homes.  We feed Premium feeds, and treats and  puppies receive and we recommend Eukanuba for their continued health. 

       Not all dogs and puppies produced by anyone have the potential nor the desire to be show dogs, but It is our sincere belief that someone with the ability to provide a loving, safe, and stable home for one of our puppies or dogs, deserve the opportunity to be loved, and adored by a healthy, happy, Pekingese puppy.
