Hello, and welcome to Kyrie Achates Pekingese.  Please take a few minutes and look around our website. We have placed our Pekingese all over the world. We are please to say they are loved and welcomed wherever they go, and have found that they are happy anywhere their family is. For those of you who are interested in the meaning of our name: Kyrie is a brief petition and response used in various liturgies of several Christian churches, beginning with or composed of the words “Lord, have mercy.”   Achates is from  Greek and Roman Mythology and was the faithful companion of Aeneas in Virgil's Aeneid and means a loyal friend.  So in essence the meaning of our name is Lord have Mercy for our loyal friend.

All Kyrie Achates Pekingese pet puppies are placed on limited AKC registry and with a spay or neuter contract, and when age and circumstances permit are spayed or neutered before leaving. All Pekingese dogs and puppies are AKC registered, and are from established and proven AKC Champion lines with generations of superior genetics for healthy , happy and loving companions.  We breed for the improvement of our lines and the improvement and preservation of the Pekingese breed in AKC show rings with special attention to the affluent Pekingese temperament, and the unusual but sound Pekingese conformation and structure, striving to reach the AKC standard for the Pekingese breed. We provide a lifetime commitment to each and every Pekingese puppy we breed, and we are dedicated to the improvement and preservation of the Pekingese Breed for generations to come.

We expend much time and effort with each Pekingese adult and Pekingese puppy, and spare no expense in caring for them and their health.  Our puppies are NOT placed indiscriminately, but are placed only in qualified homes where they will be a part of a family and loved for the very special breed they are. Each individual Pekinese's  placement, health, well being, and happiness are Paramount, and we will do everything in our power to insure their safety and happiness.
